Closet Fairy | Last modified September 30, 2026

Purpose and Scope
Sara Mahdavi LLC, doing business as Closet Fairy (hereinafter “we,” “our,” “us”), is committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining a quality online experience for our website users.
This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit www.closetfairy.com (hereinafter “Website”), and our practices for handling, storing, and protecting that information. It also explains your rights in relation to your personal information and how you can contact us with questions about our privacy practices.
This policy covers information collected through our Website, our embedded inquiry form, and related communications with us. It also explains our use of external appointment scheduling and client management services. Third-party providers may process information for their own purposes under their own privacy policies; this policy does not replace those policies.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using our Website. Where applicable law requires consent for a particular use of information, we will seek that consent separately; visiting our Website does not by itself supply that consent.

Adults and Children
Our Website and services are intended for adults aged 18 and older. Persons under 18 should not complete our forms, book consultations, or otherwise submit personal information through our Website.
If a parent or guardian believes we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, please contact us at [email protected] so that we can take appropriate steps to delete that information.

Personal Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. This may include your first and last name, email address, phone number if provided, the contents of your inquiry, and any other information you choose to submit through our inquiry form or in correspondence with us. Because we provide personal styling services, this may also include your clothing sizes, measurements, style preferences, wardrobe and shopping goals, budget, and photos of yourself or your wardrobe that you choose to share with us.
If you schedule a consultation through our external Acuity Scheduling link, we may receive your contact information, appointment details, and answers to any booking or intake questions you complete.
If you become a client, we may process information needed to provide the services you request, maintain client records, and administer agreements, invoices, and payments through HoneyBook. Our Website does not provide a direct checkout. Payment information is submitted through the applicable external service and its payment processing providers. Please do not send payment card details through the general inquiry form or by email.
Our hosting and embedded service providers may receive technical information when your browser connects to their services, such as your IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, and information about interactions with their services. The information collected depends on the provider and the features used.

Sources of Personal Information
You provide information to us when you complete our inquiry form, contact us by email or other means, schedule a consultation, or engage us for services. We also receive information from service providers used to facilitate those interactions, including HoneyBook and Acuity Scheduling.
Technical information may be collected automatically when the Website or an embedded third-party service loads or when you interact with that service.

How We Use Information
We use personal information to respond to inquiries, discuss and arrange services, schedule consultations, communicate with you, administer client relationships, and carry out our obligations and enforce our rights under our agreements, including billing and collection.
We also use information as necessary to maintain business records, address technical problems, protect the security and integrity of our Website and business, prevent fraud and misuse, comply with applicable legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our business and responding to inquiries, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent where required. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it by contacting us; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Website Services and Third Parties
Showit provides our Website platform and hosting. Its privacy policy is available at https://showit.com/privacy/.
HoneyBook provides the embedded general inquiry form and our client management, invoicing, and payment platform. Information you submit through the form is processed through HoneyBook and made available to us to respond to your inquiry. HoneyBook’s privacy policy is available at https://www.honeybook.com/legal/privacy. Acuity Scheduling, a Squarespace service, is accessed through an external booking link rather than an embedded scheduler on our Website. If you follow that link, information you provide and technical information collected on the booking service are subject to the applicable provider’s privacy practices. Squarespace’s privacy policy is available at https://www.squarespace.com/privacy.
We share information with service providers and authorized personnel as needed to respond to requests, provide services, support our operations, and maintain security. We may also disclose information when we have a good faith belief that disclosure is necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or another legal obligation; detect, investigate, or prevent fraud or technical issues; or protect the rights, property, or safety of our business or others. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may transfer personal information in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale, dissolution, or other change of control, subject to applicable law.

Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device. Similar technologies include local storage, scripts, and web beacons or pixels that communicate with a service when a page or component loads.
We have not installed separate Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or other additional analytics or advertising tracking tools on our Website. This does not mean that our Website or its third-party components collect no technical information.
Our embedded HoneyBook inquiry form loads a HoneyBook script and pixel. Loading these resources connects your browser to HoneyBook. HoneyBook may use cookies or similar technologies and collect technical or interaction information in connection with its services. Please review HoneyBook’s privacy policy for its practices and available privacy choices.
External services you visit through our links, including Acuity Scheduling and social media platforms, may use their own cookies and tracking technologies. Their privacy practices apply when you use those services.
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies or third-party resources may affect the functionality of the inquiry form or other services. Any consent required by applicable law for nonessential cookies or similar technologies is separate from acceptance of this Privacy Policy.

Information Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, provide requested services, maintain business and financial records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements. The retention period depends on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.
You may request deletion by contacting us. We may retain information where permitted or required by applicable law, including for recordkeeping, legal claims, or security purposes.

Information Protection and Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect the personal information we handle. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will provide notice of a data breach when required by applicable law.

Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and the laws applicable to our processing, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, receive information in a portable format, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a decision about a privacy request. You may also have the right to complain to a competent data protection authority and to exercise applicable rights without unlawful discrimination.
These rights are not absolute and do not apply in every situation. We will honor rights that apply under applicable law. We do not use Website submissions to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
To make a privacy request, email [email protected]. Specify your request and provide enough information for us to verify your identity. We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to verify or fulfill the request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any lawful reason for denying a request. Where an appeal right applies, you may submit an appeal to the same email address.

International Processing
Our business is based in the United States, and information we process may be stored or handled in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws from your country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we will use the safeguards required by that law rather than relying solely on your use of the Website as consent to a transfer.

Changes to This Policy
The date this Privacy Policy was last revised appears at the top of this document. We will post revisions on this page. If we make material changes to how we handle personal information, we will provide any notice required by law, which may include a prominent notice on our Website or contacting you directly where appropriate.
